CAROLINA JEWETT FOR THE KIDS
The Full Story
About me
I am Carolina Jewett
a proud small business owner, a wife and a dedicated mother of two children in our school district. Bilingual and born in Colombia, SA, I bring a unique perspective and a wealth of experience from both the corporate world and public sector.

I stand apart in this race because of my diverse background and proven leadership skills. My past achievements include getting the Green Heart Project to build a garden for MPA. I am also dedicated to keeping politics out of schools, ensuring that decisions are based on what is best for our students and the greater good of our children as a whole.

I believe in the power of public education, which is why I'm running as a candidate in D-2 for the Charleston Consolidated Board of Trustees on the November 5 ballot.
I am not a politician—I am a wife and mother of two children who attend public schools. My professional background includes serving as an executive in the defense and aerospace industry as well as consulting for IBM as a process design consultant in supply chain management, and now, as a small-business owner in Charleston. Among my career achievements, I had the privilege of serving the Puerto Rico Department of Education, where I trained 400 school directors on the use of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico’s Public Education Software System.

My Mission
I am running for the Charleston County School Board - District 2 because I care deeply about the quality of education and the future of our children. Our schools and teachers need all of the funding and help that they can get.
My primary goal is to invest in local public education and ensure that our schools receive the necessary resources. Additionally, I am committed to environmental sustainability by promoting recycling and waste reduction programs. It should be easy for the schools to recycle; if nothing else, paper should be 100% recycled in our schools.
Vision
I believe that the school board, as a public entity, must strive to communicate clearly and consistently with the community to regain trust and build full support. My ultimate goal is to foster unity among the community, its leaders, and the school board members, so that we can work together as a team to best serve our children.
